Jazz Festival in New Orleans Fashion

Jazz Feastival

I am headed to Jazz Fest in New Orleans on Thursday and wanted to share this New Orleans inspired post for my trip. New Orleans is the perfect city to wear a bit of lace and old fashioned jewelry. But walking around all day you need a good pair (and of course stylish shoes). And last but not least some cut-offs and a rock and roll style bag with fringe and a long strap that won't get in the way when you are dancing in the streets.

Shown: Butterfly Lace Frill Hem $65 Topshop, Antik Batik Bongo Bag $320 Net-a-Porter, Gap Destructed jean shorts $25, Narciso Sunglasses - Roberto Cavalli $285 Forzieri.

Designer: Rachel Comey

Rachel Comey

Rachel Comey is one of my favorite designers right now. She has such a unique style and her soft color palettes are so versatile. She designs great shoes for men as well. Shown: Ipswitch Brogue Wedge Steven Alan $345, Printed Cotton Bustier Top $228 Bloomingdales, Halla Clog Mickmargo $242 Suede Farers Shortsuit Bird $865.00.

Spring - It's All About White

Welcome to Polyvore!

After many months of dark colors since the spring has sprung I am totally infatuated with the color white. White jeans, the perfect white t-shirt, and dressy white sandals are all on my shopping list this month.

Spring is in Bloom

Daffodils and tulips are the first signs of spring in New York. Their inspiring color after a long winter have me wanting floral prints and colorful accessories. Shown: Floral Chiffon Sundown Gown Old Navy $34 and Ciao Bella Riza Wedge $60 DSW.

Military Chic Accessories

With the whole military inspired fashion craze I thought I would post a few items that won't make you feel like Rambo. These 80%20 sandal shoes ($149) are really cute and fun. They have a bit of a safari feel to them as well and will be great for tracking that coyote in Central Park. And the little bit of studded gold bling on this Pyramid Stud Stretch Band Belt by Cara Accessories $118 add just a touch of glam. Both available at Intermix.

The Footware Solution to Slush

After all of the snow and rain in New York this winter I have been trying to figure out a solution for footwear. I learned a lesson last week when I wore my rubber boots to work all day and didn't bring another pair of shoes to change into. Rubber boots are awful to wear for long periods of time because your feet start to sweat. Yuck! But these new shoe covers by Shuella are great because they slip on over your other shoes. They keep the slush out but you don't have to tote around your other shoes in your purse. And they come in several cute colors although I prefer the black myself. $49.50

Ski Bunny Style

I just got back from Beaver Creek Colorado and had to share some ski bunny fashion picks with you. The ski-chic outfit is not complete without a pair of faux fur boots like these Report ones from Revolve Clothing $66. Add a trapper hat, some black leggings and this cozy 80's inspired ski sweater from Rugby $99.

Kate Spade All About Bows

These adorable festive shoes from Kate Spade are perfect for holiday parties. They are sure to be conversation starters and they might be just the perfect thing to get you noticed by that cute guy you have been eyeying.

Rainy Weather Fashion

Is the rainy weather giving you the fashion blues? Here are a few newly designed rain wear pieces that may have you singing a different tune. Marimekko Kiku Red Umbrella $40 at Finnstyle and See by Chloe Black Rain Boot $195 at Jildor.
