Yigal Azrouel Fall 2010
The week continues on with more fabulous fashion and runway shows. Project Runway was the talk of the tents yesterday as this season’s designers showed their collections. We are not sure who the winner is yet since their were 10 shows, but there were definitely some good stuff! Also keeping with the Project Runway theme, past winner, Christian Siriano, also showed his collection featuring some beautiful gowns as usual. In addition to Project Runway, designers Nicole Miller, Jason Wu and Yigal Azrouel also showed their lines on the runway.

Who says fall has to be filled with dark and drab colors? Obviously not Yigal Azrouel. While his collection had darker colors and blacks, he made some looks pop with bold purples, reds and golds. Most of his looks were soft and flowy apparent in some of his long gowns and pants. I love this purple dress (above) because while it may look like a simple gown, the back features cut-outs with black fabric and a long exposed zipper down the back. Lady-like meets edgy – I like.
Florals come to the fall season! Leave it to Jason Wu to bring his whimsical and funky point-of-view to the colder seasons. Keeping similar to his Spring 2010 line, Wu played with floral patterns, bold colors and volume. Voluminous skirts (above) and texturized mini dresses were some of the showcased looks from his collection. His collections does not scream “fall” to me, which is refreshing, but still contains looks that have color, but are season-appropriate with more muted tones of bold colors and jackets and cardigans. He is one of my favorites, so I think everything he does is awesome!
Darks and greys with a hard edge was the theme for Nicole Miller’s fall collection. Her looks had an urban/grunge feel to them with most of the models dressed in black beanie hats. Dark vests and jackets covered metallic and black mini dresses. Urban and feminine chic.
